Alex Symon rode a Yamaha TZ250 in
the BMCRC 250 Grand Prix class. The first race at Lydden Hill 3/4
March was only his 11th meeting (first race without my Novice jacket).
This was ABS Racing's first full season of motorcycle racing and, even
though Alex was still a rookie, in the sense that it was his first
season riding a GP bike, the aim was to build enough experience to
ride in the MRO National Class in 2002.
