Round Two Croft

After the superb first round at Brands Hatch ABS Racing today completed a promising round two in ACU Motostar Dunlop Tyres' Replicast UK / Biksport News British 250 Championship

In Alex Symon's very first visit to Croft he qualified in a strong eighth place and then fought with the elements in a wet race to finish a respectable twelfth.

An eventful weekend for Alex started, on Saturday, in a rush with organisational changes and unfolded in a nightmare untimed practice, at the beginning of the day, where there was a collision with a slowing rider.  This resulted in a damaged radiator and subsequently the next timed practice was missed.

As a result, the qualifying for the club race didn't go so well finishing twenty-sixth out of thirty-one setting a fastest lap of 1:38.6.  However this allows for the realisation of where the weekend was definitely positive overall.

In the following race Alex finished eleventh setting a fastest lap of 1:32.5.  Then in an open race set a fastest lap of 1:32.0.  This was immediately before the British 250 qualifying race in which he managed to cut his lap time down to 1:28.5.  Only one second behind pole and ten seconds quicker than his first qualifying session, the day before, demonstrating the phenomenal progress that had been made.

Not to mention the benefit of experience of the wet race and four points added to the championship tally
