Round One
Brilliant Brands
The first nail biting round of the British 250 Championship has been
completed with triumph for ABS Racing. After the challenging off
season Alex Symon qualified a strong ninth place on the grid. This
was a good start to the day but nothing compared with what was to follow.
Alex launched his Yamaha TZ250 off the line and battled through to an
excellent third place. Setting a fastest lap of 49.41 seconds,
to be just four seconds off the leading two, during the twenty-one lap
race. This saw Alex punching the air in delight to take his first
podium of 2007!
Congratulations to Alex Symon on a superb start to the season and the excitement
doesn't stop there as round two is just one week away at Croft.

Valuable Track Time
Prior to the British 250 Championship opener, on the previous day
(Saturday 14th), ABS Racing were able to get valuable track time in the
New Era run Bill Ivy Trophy.
Alex completed twenty laps during the day through qualifying thirteenth,
then finishing leg one in ninth and leg two in eighth places respectively.
Amounting to a fastest lap of 51.22 seconds, nearly a whole two seconds
slower than today, which emphasises how much progress was made in the ACU
Dunlop Motostar British 250 Championship race!
